Molly Goddard – Spring 2020

London Fashion Week

Goddard’s 10th collection, shown to a packed house in an art deco leisure centre in central London, gave the fashion crowd more of the voluminous, highlighter-bright dresses which Goddard has made into a phenomenon, and closed with model Edie Campbell wearing a billowing taffeta fuchsia cloud-gown.

So, Molly Goddard’s show at London Fashion Week is always one that I look forward to – and I really enjoyed this collection, watching it from a new perspective of creative freedom (which feels very liberating). Here’s @ediebcampbell in the last look – thinking pink! I love the way Molly takes the colour that is traditionally associated with sweet femininity, and with her signature aesthetic, turns a pink tulle dress into something more powerful and subversive. It’s why Villanelle looked so convincing as a female assassin in a pink Molly Goddard dress in series one of Killing Eve. And Edie Campbell is similarly insouciant in her red boots and pink dress on the runway today – a modern Little Red Riding Hood who could take on the Big Bad Wolf, and win… Bravo @mollygoddard 💕 @bazaaruk #mollygoddard #harpersbazaar #lfw #thinkpink
